::Artful Yarns, Twisted Sisters and Vivian Hoxbro!::

Whoohoo! Another banner day at AHYC! We're showcasing several garments from Artful Yarns in the shop right now created from new yarns Broadway and Shakespeare. You need to come in to see, feel and then decide on which color to knit with!

Today we also received Vivian Hoxbro kits, now in English, that you may have seen on her website. We've got 3 designs in stock (I'll post which in the next few days), some of which are her mitered designs and some which are her shadow knitting designs. Both techniques are fascinating and the color combos are really stunning! I can't wait to start on a model! This is right up my alley! The kit prices are pretty reasonable also. Call or email for details.

Also in today's UPS shipment, was an early gift. Yarns and books from Twisted Sisters, ladies who design and hand-dye yarn from California. The patterns are very boxy and sometimes modular designs. They are showcasing a new book of Designs. I hope to post a picture soon. debb, one of our lovely staffers, jumped right away on offering to knit a model. We'll have a showcase/trunk show in late November through early December, so you can see models live and in person (while you're visiting us for our 10th Anniversary model sale the 4th weekend in Nov.)

See our Features area for information about our upcoming 10th Anniversary celebrations!

::The Latest and Greatest::

So much news, so little time. We have gorgeous garments from the Rowan trunk show in the shop now - come and see them live in person. We have one day left (Saturday, Sept. 11) in our Grand Reopening Event - come and have some munchies, plus see what's on sale! We have new stuff from Muench Yarns - Stars (a really cool sparkly thread with sparkly thingabobs on it), red Touch Me, Savannah (Amalie isn't here yet, but when it comes, it'll be a lot like Estivo of Stephanie's Poncho fame...). We also got the new Rebecca #28 - in English. Unfortunately, it sold out in 2 days, so we'll be ordering more. Let us know if you're interested so can reserve a copy from the next batch. New colors of Eros arrived from Plymouth today. We're expecting a huge shipment of Koigu any day now, as well as Vivian Hoxbro sweater kits from Harrisville Designs. A new shipment of Brown Sheep Bulky is being sent Monday, so we should have it in the shop late next week. More? Whew, I can't think right now....

::Wool in the Woods and Trunk Shows::

Newest in the shop are the Wool in the Woods Americana Throw kits that came in Friday! We asked for brighter, funner (!) colors and that's what we got! We'll post pictures in the next few days....

We'll have trunk shows galore in the upcoming weeks as well. Rowan should be arriving any minute. What's a trunk show, you ask? Sample garments from the latest books from the company sponsoring the trunk show. You can see them live and in person to decide if they are to be your next project! You can also expect to see Artful Yarns (2 wks in late Sept) and Colinette shortly. Colinette will send 3-4 new pieces every 2 weeks through the fall. We'll also have new models in the shop, created mostly by our very own staffers. Come see for yourself!
