::Afghanalong and We're Nearly 10! ** UPDATED **::
Tons of fun stuff to happen soon at AHYC! On Oct 24 from 1-4pm, AHYC will open to those wanting to help sew up afghans for Afghans, as mentioned by Ann and friends on www.masondixonknitting.com. Refreshments to be provided, but mostly bring your enthusiasm for a good cause. We'll spread out on the floor, so bring a blanket or chair and your crochet hooks or darning needles and your eye for afghan square layout. It'll be a blast! *** UPDATE **** UPDATE **** UPDATE **** UPDATE **** UPDATE Just to show you the fun we had, here are some pictures of the event:
Don't forget the whole month of November at AHYC, we'll be celebrating our 10th Anniversary. What an amazing milestone! ::Furry Stuff...::
Yep, the new yarns keep rolling in. It's so fun - there's so much out there, we could get new stuff every day. Some days it feels like that's happening... this past week we got several new furry yarns in. If you liked Estivo (our best-selling yarn this summer), you'll love Furz from Berroco and Amalie from Muench/GGH. They are incredibly soft, have a great selection of colors, and have plenty of pattern support. Of course, we are waiting for Rebecca #28 to come in again (should be in the next week or so)...
We also got Impressions and Kid Slique from Prism. Impressions is like Cool Stuff, but with ribbon and mohair and all kinds of gorgeous stuff. Kid Slique is a gorgeous blend of mohair and hand-dyed rayon. It is to DIE for! Make a scarf or jacket (Kid Slique pattern), it'll be unique!
Just a quick note - a BIG Koigu shipment should be here late this week or next week! Whooohooo! Oh, and did I mention the glass needles?
