::Special Summer Events at AHYC!::

Whew! Andrea and I just got back from Market in Columbus, OH last week and Fall products are already on their way! Just in yesterday, 17 new colors of Bulky Alpaca from Misti Int'l, including new heathers, light pink, lilac and all your favorites are now in stock! Also new from Misti is a great pima cotton/silk blend that is SOOO soft with a beautiful sheen. Come in and see!

We have several new bag styles from Lantern Moon, cedar needles (you have to SMELL these!) especially handmade for AHYC, new colors of Estivo (the fluffy stuff in the Stephanie Poncho), TONS of new colors of Bamboo, and more I can't even think of right now.

But I really want to mention some special events coming up. First off, you've seen her work at the TACA craft fairs at Centennial Park - now you can have a chance to learn from a master! Lisa Klakulak will be teaching a "Felted Beaded Buttons" class series on Wednesday nights in July. The classes are held at AHYC from 6-8pm, will cost $55, plus a $12 materials fee to be paid to Lisa on the first night of class. Each week will build on the skills learned the week before. There are only a few spots left, so sign up now! Here's a picture of what you could make:
Samples of the buttons can also be viewed live at our front counter . See more information on Lisa at: http://www.finecrafts.org/Klakulak/Lisa.htm

Next on the list, AHYC will be hosting a Loop-d-Loop trunk show from July 14-July 23.

What's a trunk show, you ask? 19 garments from this great new book will be available for you to view and fondle! No trying on garments, please, but seeing the products live makes it easier to envision them on yourself or your lucky recipients! Plus we have already made a number of garments ourselves from this book, so you'll get an extra bonus! Don't miss this chance to see some really unique knitted items - come in for a visit and check out many of our new fall yarns while you're at it! Here are a few designs to whet your whistle:

Another class not on the posted schedule is Andrea's Beaded Scarf seminar on Sunday, July 10 from 1-4pm. There are a few spots left in this great class - we filled the original class to the brim and still more people wanted to learn this cool technique. The seminar will cost $30, and you'll need to purchase two skeins of "Luxury" silk from FDC, size 4 needles (straight or circ), plus 1-2 tubes of 6.0 beads, available at Beadazzled near the 100 Oaks Applebee's. Call now to reserve your spot!
