::Rowan & A Lot of Other Stuff::
The Rowan is in! Whoohoo! Come-n-get it, folks! We've got Rowan, RYC, Nashua, plus Regia and Gedifra on the way soon. RYC's new Silk Aran Tweed, Luxury Cotton DK are gorgeous, Nashua's Julia and Sassafras are to die for, and, of course, Rowan is..well...Rowan! No comparison! New juicy colors of Calmer, lots of new books all 'round, terrycloth-like Holiday - you just have to see them!
Schaefer sent us a BUNCH of colors of Laurel for you to make the Man Magnet Shawl or Scarf from. Don't know about the Man Magnet? You'll have to come see our sample, or better yet, take the class! We have lots of classes in April and May for you to sign up for - come see samples and learn something new!
The purse contest has a bunch of entries, but there is always room for more - you've got until March 31 to bring an entry. We'll get everyone who visits the shop between April 1 and April 14 to vote on their fave, then we'll give a gift certificate on April 15, to help you buy yarn on Tax Day! Come by to enter or vote!
And, even though it's posted on the sidebar, we do want to remind you of a great new book coming out, written by a local! Ann Shayne, along with Kay Gardiner, have just written a FAB new knitting book called Mason-Dixon Knitting, based on their very popular web blog. We'll have tons of copies of the book available on Thursday, April 20, from 6-7ish pm, plus some lovely snacks and drinks. Bring your knitting (and a chair!) to come listen to the fantastic story these ladies have to tell! They'll be bringing samples and we have lots of the yarns they use in the book, such as Rowan Wool/Cotton, Euroflax Linen, Tahki Cotton Classic and more! If you prepay for a book, we'll even have the gals sign it for you, even if you can't be at the Book Signing.

::R U Gonna Join the Purse Contest or What?::
Attention all Angel Hair customers! You have just a few more weeks to submit a purse for our Spring Purse Contest. Entries will be accepted until March 31. Make any kind of purse, knit or crochet, out of materials and patterns available at Angel Hair Yarn Co. and we'll hang your entry up with an anonymous tag in our purse gallery near our classroom table. Your entry will be seen and admired by loads of people!
Between April 1 and April 14, customers will have the chance to vote for their favorite purse. On Tax Day, April 15, we'll count the votes and announce the winner! The winner will be the recipient of a lovely Angel Hair gift certificate in the amount of $25!
Come on! Show off your work and creativity! Bring in your purses! You can bring more than one and you will, of course, get your purse entry back after the contest is over! You know you wanna be famous!

::A Birthday, MORE Koigu, and Rowan!::
Wow, whatta week! Andrea celebrated her birthday on Friday with a YUMMY chocolate cake (thanks Autumn!) and Pam celebrated her 5th wedding anniversary on the same date! We heard from our friend Seri in MS (she's taking care of her mom) - we miss you lots!
We got our 2nd Koigu shipment in 3 weeks too - you should SEE the MOUNTAIN OF KOIGU when you walk in our front door. Well, heck this week, I'll even post a picture. Maybe. That's always my intent, anyway....
We got a partial Rowan shipment - Soft Baby, Cashsoft DK and more! The rest of the spring shipment should be here this week - whoohoo! It hopefully will include a little Regia and Gedifra (now owned by Rowan's parent company, Coats Patons) and Nashua Handknits - have you seen their gorgeous ads in the magazines? OF COURSE, we'll post when it's in!
LOTS of spring colors of K1C2 Cotonade arrived this week, as well as several new spring mags (Knit Simple and Family Circle Easy Knitting). A beautiful HUGE box of Colinette's Giotto showed up, including their lovely new books. This yarn is really beautiful - I will get some pictures posted...Also, a shipment of books came in, with lots of new ones in the batch! We'll be posting more info soon about our Rilly Fun Book Signing with Kay and Ann's new book Mason Dixon Knitting on April 20 at 6pm.
Classes are off to a good start - sign up now so you don't miss your favorites! We are doing purses, hats, wraps (check out the Man Magnet - we'll have a picture of that soon too!), freeform knitting and crochet (again with the pictures) and more! Oh, did I mention the Starburst Shawl from Modular Knits? I started it this weekend out of Artyarns' beautiful Regal Silk and it's gorgeous!
