::It's Freeform, Baby!::

This is something you gotta learn to do. Have you been scared off by the fact that we advertise Freeform Knit & Crochet, when in fact you may not know any crochet, or can't stand to be associated with crochet? Well, my pets, check this out: you can knit OR crochet OR both to take this class. It's a great way to use stash, especially all those scarf leftovers! We do have to admit, it's faster and easier to crochet in freeform (did I mention EASIER?), but you don't have to. But everybody else will be doing it....just kidding. Try it, you might like it. Here some examples from a previous class to whet your whistle:

Pink Picasso and FiFi LeFrou

Candy Floss

Tussy Mussy and La Ta Da

Seafoam and Stash

It starts Thursday night (that's THIS Thursday, Sept. 28) at 6pm. We will go for 2 weeks for sure, possibly a 3rd night. Call now to sign up, bring your stash and various needles and hooks or buy a brand new stash when you get there.

NEWSFLASH: Rowan is on its way!!! A good bit of it, but not all of it. The books, Cashsoft, Country, and who knows what else. The rest will follow...

Our walk for Nashville Cares, Nashville's premiere AIDS organization is this Saturday, October 30. Do you want to walk or donate? We'd love either or both!

Speaking of classes - have you heard about the Crayon Box Jacket? I'll be teaching this starting Oct 3. Here's what it could look like:
Again, great for the stash, or come let us set up a kit for you in your colors! The jacket can be as wild or sedate as you want to make it. EASY to knit and there's a great underarm gusset we'll work on, which makes it less boxy under the arms. This is a fun, portable project guys - work each square and attach as you go!

Pictures of our Fashion Show and Wine Tasting coming soon! Happy recent birthdays to Charisse, Pam, and Joanne, and happy upcoming birthday to Anne!

::Yeeehah! It Came Early!::

Not only was it on the way, it came early! Koigu came in today! So take time out Friday to check it out! Whoohooo! I'd post a picture of the full boxes if I had been working today!

::Koigu's Coming...::

Don't forget to visit us this Sunday at the 21st Ave Sportsman's Grille Patio from 2-4pm for the First Annual Angel Hair Fashion Show and Wine Tasting! The event costs you nothing and you get a chance to show off something you've made from something fantastic you purchased at Angel Hair Yarn Co.! Strut your stitches! And have a bit of nosh and maybe even a taste of delicious wine! The place only holds 40, but we'll find a way to make it work....

Also, we were just told that at last, a Koigu shipment of 18 colors was due this Monday. We can't wait and we bet you can't either...We also got in a bunch of new Della Q bags and they're hot! She has some circular needle cases that I'm betting won't last the week. We'll have to get more and fast!

One more thing, Ann of Mason-Dixon Knitting fame is starting a new knitting circle this Monday (Sept 11) from 12-2. See this website for more details. Rumors are that Francie Owens, who makes cool fimo buttons (some that look like mitered squares) will be there with clay to demonstrate. Check that out!
