::New Spring Stock!::
 We've told you there would be new stuff coming in every week, and this week is no exception! We've got more of those gorgeous Shaune Bazner shawl pins (they double as hairsticks) in stock - we get different designs and colors every time, so get 'em while you can... From Artyarns, we received more Handpaint Stripes (one skein makes a quick pair of socks on #5 dpns - ask for your free pattern). We also got in their new Beaded Silk collection - this is their fantastic Regal Silk with a string of beads added. The combo is stunning! Try this Simple Decorative Scarf: Cast on 15 sts on a #11 needle, knit 4 rows. Then, K1, *(YO, K2tog), rep from * across row. Do this last row until you're nearly out of yarn, knit 4 rows, BO. Gawjus! Blue Sky Alpacas just sent 6 new spring colors of the Dyed Cotton - this is one of our favorite yarns and we know you'll love have even more colors to choose from: Ladybug (finally a true red!), Caribbean, Pickle, Circus Peanut, Mediterranean, and Periwinkle).

::New Mags and a Class in Memphis::
We got the new Interweave in, as well as the new Rebecca #33, both of which look great! There are several big boxes of wonderful stuff from Muench, including Samoa, Polo and Bouline. Needles and notions are about as fully stocked as we can get (they won't stay that way long!), we restocked a ton of Blue Sky Organic Cotton (new colors coming next week!), and....
If you're in the mood for a road trip this weekend, you may want to grab your phones and call The Yarn Studio in Memphis for several great workshops with Chris Bylsma. Chris is the designer behind the Crayon Box Jacket (you'll find pictures in our website from the class we taught last fall). This jacket is a gorgeous way to use up your leftovers, buy something yummy and new, or a combination of both! There are only 3 spots left in Saturday's class as of Thursday afternoon, so don't waste time! Chris is also teaching a knit-weaving technique class and a finishing class on Sunday that still have a few spots open too. For more info, check out The Yarn Studio's website.

::Just a Quickie...::
On Friday,we got in more needles (the Star Bamboo are flying out the door!), the new Knit.1 (in its new larger format), and Crystal Palace Bamboozle (a fun, stretchy, bamboo blend, free patterns on their website).
We are busy rearranging - and you know what rearranging means! Sometimes, we have to put stuff on sale to make room for the wonderful new things....you never know when we'll need to do this....
Don't forget - the new newsletter should be on its way to you, but if we have your email, you won't get a paper copy. Never fear - it's ALREADY online. Check it out now to see what fun classes we have for the spring. Also - if you're ready to take Knitting 101 (the first class to take after making scarves), we have an extra session ready to go this month that's not listed on the newsletter. It starts in just a week or two, so call the shop now to sign up!
Keep watching the blog - new stuff should be pouring in all the time at this point. I'll try to stay as current as I can...might have Charisse posting a time or two....

::Rowan Book is in!::

Hooray! Rowan #41, Spring 2007, is IN! That means the yarn can't be far behind - usually comes 2-3 weeks after the book. Let's hope it's here in early March!
What else? Oh, we got the spring Berroco shipment. We have fresh lovely colors of Touche, a worsted weight cotton/microfiber blend, very soft (great for the Baby Kimono in the Mason-Dixon Knitting book - only two skeins!). We also got in Bonsai, a 97% bamboo/3% rayon tape. It looks a bit like Glace, but shinier. There are 3 pattern books available (only $6.50 now!), with lots of easy but fashionable patterns that suit many body shapes.

Plymouth sent a bulky tie-dyed-looking tape too, called Torrione. This would whip up quickly into a spring T-shirt sweater - try the new Ann Norling pattern. It's written for multi-gauges, up to a 60" bust, and includes various necklines, edges and sleeve lengths.

Don't forget Knitting at the Library on Monday, Feb. 12, from 12-2. This is a monthly event, held at the Nashville Public Library's downtown branch, thanks to a wonderful collaboration between Ann Shayne of Mason-Dixon Knitting blog fame, and Cheryl, our librarian with the connections! Lots of fun people come! Even out-of-towners! I plan on being there with Zoe, unless Baby #2 makes an early appearance (I am dilated now to 2....and we're 3 weeks from the due date)!
