::Charisse Had Her Baby!::
Yep, it's true! Charisse and Shaiya Baer had a baby girl named Isidora (Izzy) Frances Baer on Wednesday, Aug 29 in the late afternoon. She was a whopping 9.5 lbs! For more info and pictures, check this website. It will be updated in the next few days after they come home from the hospital...

::Classes and Other Amazing Stuff::
Did you take a look at the class schedule yet? Starting NEXT WEEK, you have the chance to learn a bit of crochet, start your first sweater, or try out the famous Jaywalker sock pattern. We have renamed our Knitting 101 class (the one you take after making a scarf) to Knitting 102. One of those is starting the Saturday after Labor Day.
Speaking of Labor Day, we are closed this Monday (the 3rd), so no Stitch-n-B, ok? But bring your out-of-town friends in on Saturday, cuz we'll be here!
The week after that, let us help you understand charts as they apply to lace, make a dog sweater for your fabulous pooch, try the cool shaping of an Elizabeth Zimmmerman Baby Surprise Jacket, or crochet a simple market bag.
Check your schedules and sign up quickly before the classes either fill up or get canceled. We need to hear from you!

::Classes Are Up!::
OK, OK, they're finally up! The new class schedule is online, as well as our fall newsletter. Call us to sign up. Pictures of some of the class items will be added in the next week or so.
We've been redecorating, new polka dot Lantern Moon crochet/dpn needle cases are in, Malabrigo chunky and laceweight are in (it's....so....YUMMY!), more Ultra Alpaca is in, and the new Amy Butler "Evening Garden" Limited Edition of SOAK is here ....and our A/C has been fixed (one of our units has been out and we didn't realize it), so it's lovely and cool in the shop. Now that the kids are mostly back to school, come on in and knit with us.
Take a look at this website - it's a pretty cool concept! Thanks to Lee and Jennifer for sending this our way...

::Beat the Heat!::
Get out of the heat! Come in, see all the new stuff, sit and knit under the fans and A/C. Most of all, relax!
We just got another shipment of Koigu - you KNOW we love that! Lime, denim, lilac, tomato in the solids, and several multicolors. We're working on some new patterns for Koigu, including a wonderful pullover and a simple herringbone wrap.
Speaking of wraps, if you've been in the shop this past week and wanted to make Anthea's gorgeous wrap, we've finally written up the pattern to the Simplest Wrap Ever. It's free with the purchase of the yarn to make it! If you haven't seen it, come on in and take a look! Our sample is lime green with three huge buttons on it. Great for late summer travel knitting or "My kids are going back to school and I'm busy as all get out so I need something easy" knitting.

 We also got in Jo Sharp - her new fall book is going fast already. There's a beautiful and simple cardigan (no buttonholes!) in it made with double strands of Silkroad Aran Tweed, which we also received. We've got bright new colors of Soho Summer DK Cotton and 8ply DK Wool as well.
New needle totes from Timeless Totes are in, made with gorgeous bright material - and you can get extra snap-in sections if you have more needles than the basic tote stores! We also have new handcrafted bags from Fern Isaacson - these are exclusive to Angel Hair Yarn Co. They are already a good size, with an inside zipper pocket - but if you unzip the zipper, the bags opens out into a bag twice the size! Great for trips where you know you're going to need extra space for your purchases! They're a very reasonable price too.
Ellen's been hard at work rearranging everything to make it fresh and new. So has Robin. Those girls - they are so good! Oh - come in and meet Laura too - she's training on Saturday, so take it easy on her! See you soon!

::Two Bags and a Dress::
First, the dress...it is a Stunner with a capital S. Alice crocheted it in silk for Allyson, who is modeling it. Did I mention it was stunning? I'm pretty sure the pattern is from a recent issue of Interweave Crochet.

Next, two very cute bags we wanted to feature. The pink is a recycled fish market bag from Vietnam (Lantern Moon). Very cool. The bag comes in various colors and prints; a messenger-style bag is available too (not pictured).

 Next bag is hand-embroidered in Vietnam (also from Lantern Moon) - it's called the Bella Bag. There's a beige version of the same bag. And we have a black-and-white version that is non-embroidered, but all gorgeous and swirly.
Enjoy your week. Oh - did you know Charisse's due date is getting closer? The end of this month, in fact! We can't wait to find out whether it's a boy or a girl!
