Typical Weights & Styles

The amounts listed below are for the amount of yarn needed for a basic pullover or cardigan. These are for smooth yarns and very lightly textured or plain knitting. Aran or heavily cabled patterns will require quite a bit more. You will also need more when using two or more colors because of carrying the yarn in the back.
