Cast on 180 stitches, place marker, cast on another 180 stitches.
Row 1 (right side/RS): K1, SSK, K to 2 sts before marker, K2tog, slip marker, SSK, K to 3 sts from end, K2tog, k1
Row 2 (wrong side/WS): K to 1st st before marker, P1, slip marker, P1, K to end.
Repeat RW and WS rows, keeping RS row pattern as established.
DESIGNERS NOTE: I knit most of the shawl in garter stitch, but to add texture and to save yarn, I put in some stockinette rows from time to time *. I also put in some novelty yarn (Papyrus) for 2 rows from time to time. Because this shawl is knit from the outside in, be sure you have enough yarn you will not be able to stop whenever you run out.
* Alternate WS row for stockinette rows: Purl all sts, slipping marker when you come to it.
Picture will be posted on www.angelhairyarn.com in the Newsletter area shortly and the live shawl will be available for viewing off and on at Angel Hair Yarn Co!
